Our group programs are for people with lower support needs who want to have fun, make friends and build their social and communication skills. NDIS participants need Core – Social & Community Participation funding in their plan, and private clients are welcome too. Some groups are split by age; our Outdoor Connection Group, for example, runs one group for 13–17 year olds and another for people 18 and over.
The groups
We run video gaming, movie nights, a coffee group, an outdoor adventure group, art, men’s and women’s groups and wellness sessions. Each aims to give you a safe place to make friends and learn new skills, with skilled Support Workers and allied health professionals on hand.
Outdoor adventure activities can be physically demanding (jumping, climbing, running, walking, kayaking and hiking), so we talk through what is involved before you join. If you are not sure which group suits you, call 1800 511 411 and we will help you choose.
Where groups run
Our scheduled activities run anywhere from Ballina to Brisbane. See the What’s On page for the current weekly program, or read about community participation.
