Frequently asked questions
What is Supported Independent Living (SIL)?
Supported Independent Living (SIL) is NDIS funding for help with everyday tasks at home, such as personal care, cooking and household tasks, so you can live as independently as possible in a shared home with support available when you need it.
Who can apply for an iConnect Life SIL vacancy?
NDIS participants who have, or are applying for, SIL funding in their NDIS plan. You, your family, your support coordinator or your plan manager can contact us to talk about the home and whether it suits your needs.
What does a 1:3 support ratio mean?
One support worker for every three residents. Support is shared across the home, with extra one-to-one support where your NDIS plan includes it.
How do I express interest in a vacancy?
Call 1800 511 411, email [email protected] or use the enquiry form on our Contact page. We will talk you through the home, the support and the next steps, and arrange a visit.
