There are three levels of NDIS support coordination: Support Connection, Support Coordination and Specialist Support Coordination. Which one is in your plan depends on your needs and how complex your situation is. Level 1 helps you connect with supports, level 2 helps you understand, implement and use your plan, and level 3 is a higher level of support for more complex situations.
The three levels
- Level 1, Support Connection: builds your ability to connect with informal, community and funded supports so you can get the most out of your plan and pursue your goals.
- Level 2, Support Coordination: a common level that helps you understand, implement and use your plan, using a mix of supports to help you live more independently.
- Level 3, Specialist Support Coordination: for people whose situations are more complex and need specialist support.
What a support coordinator does
Our Support Coordinators help you understand your plan, work out monthly and weekly budgets, get quotes, set up service agreements, resolve issues with providers and request an early plan review or change of circumstances. The level in your plan is set by the NDIA. See support coordination or call 1800 511 411.
