Project Description
Early Childhood Early Intervention
Do you have a young person aged 0-6, that could benefit from some extra attention to help them meet their goals or milestones? Our programs and therapy support keep your child’s life goals on track. Delivered through a holistic model – with fun, engaging and interactive programs being the heart of what we do. With a team that knows how to celebrate every achievement, we focus on giving every young person a boundless start to their development.
Our Approach
The early years are precious and important, and we help implement a plan of action to give your child’s early years an extra boost. Our supports ensure the continued involvement of parents and other influential people in their lives. Our focus is on building real pathways towards essential milestones.
Our team work closely with families to identify the individual needs and support each child to live their best life and engage in everyday activities. While our services are individually tailored, there are four critical areas that our team focuses on as a foundation when working within the early intervention space:
- Behavioural Development
- Social & Emotional Development
- Cognitive Development
- Physical Development
While sometimes your young person requires a specific therapist’s focused support to reach a milestone, it often requires a multi-disciplinary approach. This can be a combination of two or more therapists to help your child achieve a more over-sized or complex goal.
Early Childhood Early Intervention Support
We have a dedicated team of professionals that can deliver a range of Early Childhood Intervention ‘ECEI’ support to children with or without an NDIS plan. We are here to support families and children to identify and reach their individual goals. We can also help your child with starting preschool or transitioning into primary school. Our ECEI team includes Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Behaviour Support Practitioners, Physiotherapists, Counsellors and more.
Our Early Childhood Early Intervention support promotes wellbeing, development, and community engagement through a family-centered approach. Here is a small sample of what our Therapists can support with:
Fine motor skills
- Independent skills like dressing & toileting
- Gross motor skills -sitting, crawling, & walking
Eating & drinking skills
Speech & language
- Positive behaviour & emotional support
What is NDIS Early Intervention?
Early Childhood Early Intervention is how the NDIS supports children aged 0-6 years who have a developmental delay or disability and their families/carers. Every child is unique, and therefore each ECEI journey will vary.
Under the NDIS early childhood early intervention approach, your child can access support without becoming an NDIS participant. This support might be information about, and contacts for mainstream supports in your area, like community health services, playgroups, or peer support groups. It might also be short-term early intervention.
The NDIS early childhood early intervention approach can also involve your child becoming an NDIS participant. This happens when your child needs longer-term support, and you need to request NDIS access for your child. Our therapy support team can assist you on this journey.
The NDIS also supports children aged seven years and older, but the steps to support are different for children in this age group.
